Cheryl Griebenow, the owner of Classique Millinery, is a graduate of Links School of Business Fashion Merchandising School. She worked in fashion retail for ten years before returning to college to earn a degree in English, with honors.
Cheryl has long been enthralled with hats, so turning her passion into a business plan was an exciting progression for her. Classique Millinery was established 1993.In addition to her long time passion for hats, Cheryl began making bridal veils in 1988. Inspired by European fashion and culture she experienced while living in Holland, Cheryl returned to her home to form her business. Bridal veils and custom bridal headpieces continue to be an important aspect of Classique Millinery’s line.
In 1999 Ms. Griebenow began to learn the traditional skills of hat blocking, forming straw or felt over a wooden form. She enjoys the creative expansion this brings to her designs. She delights in blocking hats in straw, felt, and cloth-covered buckram, then seeing the response to the finished products from her satisfied customers.
